Minster Cleaning has been nominated as a finalist for Franchisor of the Year 2021 in the bfa HSBC Franchise Awards.
The awards evening, which will be held by the British Franchise Association (bfa) in Birmingham, on 30 November, is a major event in the franchising calendar. A nomination proves the business works ethically and is in the best interests of franchisees and staff.
Managing director, Mike Parker, says: “We are very proud to have achieved finalist status for this prestigious industry award and are really looking forward to the awards night in November. Best of luck to all the finalists in the various categories.”
Minster Cleaning began in 1982 and has been a full member of the bfa since 1992. The company has branches across the UK and employs more than 5,000 people. Half of Minster’s franchisees have built up businesses with sales of more than £1million and the top branches have each achieved annual turnover of over £2million.
Training and support have always been crucial to the success of Minster Cleaning franchisees. Minster Cleaning has invested heavily in improvements to internal training programmes and enhanced operational platforms to increase efficiencies and improve standards.
Franchisees benefit from a highly effective marketing strategy, and ongoing support covers operational management, administration, accounting and IT, as well as professional advice in the complex fields of employment law and health and safety.
The Minster Cleaning network has recovered well from the Covid-19 pandemic and, as of August, turnover is in excess of £41million.
